When: 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, July 25, 2026
Where: We will meet at the Millarville General Store at 9:00 AM and will drive west and make stops foraging along the way to the cookout location, Fischer campground.
Event Details: Join CFGA’s Women’s Outdoor Club for an exciting guided foraging walk, followed by a cooking workshop where you get to be the "sous chef", a delicious local meal and your choice of two of our wild-crafted teas. This editable plant walk introduces you to a dozen edible, wild plants and non-native species. Learn the basics of plant Identification through your sense of smell, touch, and taste.
What to bring: comfortable shoes suitable for uneven ground, day pack with personal water bottle and snacks, a “Go Mug” to enjoy a hot tea sample, personal medical items (i.e. inhaler, EpiPen, etc.), sunscreen/hat, and 2 small paper bags. Please remember to dress for the weather – long pants are preferred for this event
Once you have registered, you will be required to submit a completed Waiver and Medical Information Form as per your participation.

Family Campout Weekend
When: Aug. 14 – 16
Where: Fort MacLeod Fish and Game Campground
555 Lyndon Road, Fort MacLeod
Who: Open to all Sarcee Fish and Game Families and members.
Why: Join us for a FREE weekend of camping at the Fort MacLeod F&G Campground. The campground is nestled along the shores of the Old Man River, so be sure to bring your fishing rod for some great fishing. There are power sites available for RV campers and random camping experiences for those who are tenting. The campground also has an archery range so pack your bows for some practice before archer season arrives.
