This beginner Fly Fishing School, hosted by Iron Bow Fly Shop, is designed to take the new angler through the basics and onto the water. This class is split into 2 sections, with the morning spent in the classroom learning “the basics”, understanding your gear leaders, knots, basic entomology, and flies, through to reading water and on-water techniques. After lunch, in the afternoon we will concentrate on learning the basic casting techniques. The class is hosted on a private pond. At the end of the class, all students will get the opportunity to put the skills they have learned to the test and fish for “leader breaking” rainbows!
This class would typically cost $250 to attend, but with the support of the SFGA membership educational subsidy program, the course is available to SFGA members at a significantly reduced rate.
This private course is only available to current Sarcee Fish and Game Members.
